What are Volume/Russian Lashes?

Russian or Volume eyelash extensions are specially designed to be the lightest and most slender fibres yet, able to create a super-full lash look while placing barely any weight on the natural lashes.
There are two words – length and fullness. Volume lashes are used to improve their texture, depth, and ampleness. Volume lash extensions are designed to fill in the gaps where classic eyelash extensions could not. The Russian volume extensions are all hand made on the spot – your technician makes each bouquet, carefully fanning out multiple lashes using their tweezers right before attaching them to your lashes.

What are Mink Lashes?

Real mink eyelash extensions are the favourite of celebrities. They are superior to manmade (synthetic) lashes, they’re beautifully soft, more natural looking, and are so lightweight you don’t even feel you have them on. The real mink lashes can even be attached to natural short lashes (as they are so light). In my home based studio in Chelmsford, you will get only the best quality natural mink eyelashes and individual approach.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

The eyelash extension generally lasts until the natural lash falls out in its natural cycle 4 to 5 weeks. However, if you wish to maintain them, it is advisable to have infills applied approximately every 2 – 3 weeks (depending on how well you take care of them and your natural lash cycle), as by this stage some would have fallen out as new lashes have grown through. How long your eyelash extensions last depends almost entirely on how you care for them (i.e. by removing makeup correctly, not wearing mascara,not using oily products on your face etc).

When is a good time for Infill?

Your lash extensions fall out, and yes – this is completely normal. This is because your natural lashes continiue to grow. Its highly reccomended to have your infill when you still have at least 40% of your initial eyelash set. Otherwise, as soon we aplly the infill, the remaining lashes from the old set may fall out as well.

What are hybrid eyelash extensions?

The Hybrid technique is a combination of two different lash application techniques rolled into one set of lashes. For example; Individual classic, one false lash extension on one isolated natural lash combined with Russian Volume, multiple lash extensions on one natural lash. This type of lash technique gives lash techs the freedom to be creative and develop their lash application skills.

Lash extensions during pregnancy?

The answer is “yes of course, when would you like to book”. But just to make sure I would reccomend to have a patch test with the glue few days before the appointment, then make sure you don’t react to the glue as things change in pregnacy.

Dos

Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser before your visit.
If you wear contact lenses, wear glasses instead to your appointment or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive to your appointment.
Keep an eyelash comb handy to straighten up any stray lashes.Comb them carefully and gently only when needed.
Only water-based mascara is recommended after your treatment.
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after your eyelash application.
Avoid swimming and the use of steam rooms and hot saunas the next 48 hours. Extreme heat is not recommended.
Avoid using eye make-up

Don'ts

Do not use regular or waterproof mascara.
Do not attempt to remove any extensions by pulling.
No water should come into contact with your eyelashes for 24 hours.
Do not use an eyelash curler or perm the lashes.
Do not rub your eyes too hard when cleaning your face.
Do not sleep on your face.
Do not panic – if you see your lash attached to the extensions please don’t panic, as that’s exactly what supposed to happen! We naturally lose a couple of lashes a day which we seldom notice.
